The Youth Leadership Foundation (YLF) started out by organizing a National Youth Parliament for the Lok Sabha elections held in 2019. Thereafter we have organized several youth parliaments to encourage the youth to participate in all meaningful dialogue on socio-economic-political issues.
YLF believes that these issues have long term repercussions and impacts the fabric of a nation. Therefore it is important that youth in schools and colleges be exposed to all sensitive topics through a reasoned debate. YLP believes that such debate paves the way not only to better appreciation of complex issues by youth and the politicians, but also it has the power to create new ideas and policies which are inclusive and implementable.
The motto of YLP is “Every Voice Counts”, implying governance should not be limited to voting rituals but should include the voice of citizens in every aspect of policy making and service. This is possible by educating citizens about various aspects of sensitive issues and creating solutions through which they can voice their opinion, without fear or favour.
We know that at the moment, our ambitions are huge and our capabilities very small; however, we also know that we are passionate, young and bustling with energy from the youth of the world. Therefore, we believe we have the power to be heard and change the world.
